He urged her not to play music only for pleasure or to aid in growth but rather, she should explore it. The Aksnes family encouraged her to compose. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork for being among her inspirations. In response to her mother's advice that people should not be aiming at achieving fame through the songs she writes, but rather be aware of the significance of them and their impact on society. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument when she was six. She began writing music when she turned nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she told her parents. It was never a dream to turn into Aurora. Her only passion is to write music. She believes that music is the only way to feel anything.
