Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai athlete from Peru, and mixed martial artist that is competing with her country in UFC in the Flyweight Division, is in the midst of in the Flyweight Division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started out in the form of an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a second prize in 2007, with a bronze award in 2008. She also won a gold medal in 2011 and won the title of 2016. IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. She won in 2012 the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 she won the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She was victorious with a TKO after the first round and continued to beat her next two fights at the WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. This gave her a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko was forced to take a break from MMA in order to focus on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa through a unanimous decision, and later defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she left the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina employed her impressive fighting techniques to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Following this victory Antonina was given the opportunity to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale vs Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight, after winning her first fight with a unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova during UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko went 1-2 in her next 3-fights, winning against Ariane Lipski, and then falling to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina has recently been knocked down by a TKO, in the 2nd round to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos against. Walker.
